Talkalive

We didn’t patch together a Zoom clone. We built a full platform that actually connects teachers and students without the corporate middleman nonsense.

Scheduling hell, profile clutter, endless back-and-forth emails. We fixed it: clean profiles, real availability calendars, one-click meeting setup, and classes that run smoothly — all in a big, no-BS web app.

The Real Story Talkalive was built for the real world of online education — teachers who want control over their time and rates, students who want reliable tutors without platform fees eating everything. No “premium subscriptions” locking features behind paywalls. No forced branding. Just a straightforward hub: teachers create detailed profiles (subjects, experience, rates, teaching style), set availability calendars, students browse/search, book slots, pay directly, and join sessions. We handled the whole ecosystem — dozens of pages, from landing to dashboard to booking flows to admin tools. Most edtech sites feel like corporate HR software. We made one that feels like it was built by people who actually teach and learn.

What We Delivered

Everything coded clean: custom theme logic, heavy JavaScript for interactive calendars and real-time updates, PHP/WordPress backend where it made sense, but mostly purpose-built for performance.

The Punk Part

While big edtech giants nickel-and-dime everyone with fees, algorithms that hide good teachers, and interfaces designed by committees, we built something direct and honest. Teachers keep more of their money. Students find who they actually want. No gatekeepers. No algorithmic suppression. We didn’t follow the “SaaS playbook.” We built what the scene needed — control, transparency, and zero corporate slop.

Tech (Straight, No Fluff)

Result

A living platform where teachers run their own show and students get exactly what they need — no fluff, no excuses. Bookings happened without drama. Profiles stood out. Sessions ran on time. Proof: when education platforms treat people like data points, you don’t tweak them — you build something that puts the humans first.
