8beaute distributes professional hair-care brands – Lola From Rio, COCOCHOCO Professional, Crazy Hair and Brosh Pomade – to hair salons, barbers and everyday customers. They needed one shop for two very different audiences: professionals who buy as verified partners, and regular shoppers who just want their favourite shampoo.
A standard WooCommerce theme can’t do that, so I built a custom one – with a partner system, smart filters and brand pages on top.
What I Built
- Custom theme – I teamed up with a design agency who created the flat design, and turned it into a fully responsive WordPress theme
- B2B partner registration – a 4-step sign-up form where salons enter company details, address and contacts, and upload their business documents with drag and drop
- Partner approval – the admin gets an email with all the details and documents, approves the partner with one role change, and the partner is notified automatically. Until then, they can shop like any customer
- Smart catalogue filters – filter by brand, product type, hair type, scalp condition, treatment, price and volume, all without reloading the page
- Mega menu – the whole catalogue structure in one dropdown on desktop, and an accordion on mobile
- Brand pages – each brand gets its own page with hero image, story, slider, products and call to action, all managed from the admin
- Product pages – gallery with zoom, automatic “New” and “Sale” badges, and tabs for features, how to use and ingredients
- Wishlist without plugins – saved to the account for logged-in users, or the browser for guests, with a live counter in the header
- Local payments – Paysera integration for the Baltic market
- Admin guide – step-by-step instructions in Lithuanian, so the team runs the shop without calling a developer
The Punk Part
Most B2B shops either hide everything behind a login or treat salons like any random customer. 8beaute does both properly: anyone can shop, professionals get verified and get their perks, and nobody fills in paper forms or sends documents by email.
